Ed Feightner

Ed “Whitey” Feightner

WWII - Navy

As a 24 years old, Ed Feighner, was piloting the most advanced fighter aircraft the United States Navy had to offer. In his incredible rotation in the Pacific during World War II, Ed would fly with the legendary Butch O’Hare, who christened him “Whitey” for his inability to tan in the searing Pacific sun, shoot down five Japanese aircraft, and survive hundreds of combat missions.
