WWII - Army
Ed landed on the shores of Normandy just days after D-Day, finding himself assigned to the 2nd Infantry Division. With the “Indians heads”, Ed battled the Germans through the dense hedges of France, before his number came up, and shrapnel from a mortar shell peppered his body. He spent the rest of the war in hospitals attempting to recover. Shrapnel can still be felt in his arm to this day.
